All our Holidays 4 Dogs carers are dedicated to caring for your dog in the best possible way. We have all kinds of people from retired persons to families, single people, young and old. Some are Ultra fit but all are physically fit and capable of managing and exercising specifically matched dogs.

Selection of our Holidays 4 Dogs carers is made after considering an application only if they meet all our basic criteria: they should be at home during the day and not leave the home regularly for more than 2-3 hours at any one time. They must have a secure and dog friendly garden and they should not have any pre-school children in the household. It is acceptable that some of our carers have highly sociable dogs of their own or even a dog friendly cat, but these animals are always taken into consideration when selecting the right carer for your dog and of course you always get to meet them first. Many dogs enjoy the company of another dog to play with making their holiday stay even more special, others prefer the 1:1 they are used to at home. It is your choice.

Only if the applicant carer fits our criteria, do we arrange to interview them for suitability and consider them for our team. Each carer then has to pass a full interview and have their homes and any pets checked. This involves a discussion on the role and responsibility of a Holidays 4 Dogs approved carer, a personal character assessment and evidence of past dogs owned and cared for and a signed agreement. Personal references and references on their ability to look after dogs are also fully checked. Only then are they welcomed to our team. All our Carers are re-visited and audited on a regular basis.

• Maintenance of your dog's walking, feeding and sleeping patterns.
• Regular access to an enclosed dog friendly garden.
• Walks on a lead or in agreement with your off lead instruction after an initial settling period. All dogs will wear one of our tags.
• Your dog will live as part of the family, with the family in the place where you leave him with all the love and attention he/she truly deserves.
• Any special requests or medications discussed beforehand administered.
• Our carers have emergency support 24 hours a day, 365 days a year offering you complete peace of mind knowing you are leaving your pet with a professional, nationally recognised Home Boarding service provider.
• All dogs will be covered by our third party liability insurance. We recommend that you take out your own pet insurance to cover illness or injury as vet bills will be re-claimed when you return from your holiday.
